CO-EXISTENCE

This collection from Zambia 2014 includes paintings focusing on the idea of humans and animals co-existing harmoniously. In some works I have painted clay pots to represent the earliest humans in central and southern Africa. In other compositions I have put in huts, grain storage bins or pumpkins, a common crop.

I also like the idea of combining animals and plants (such as baobabs, sausage trees and palms), a concept revisited from my 2008 “Organica” collection.
